The advancement and development of ports also foster the professional growth of the personnel working within them, thereby strengthening daily operations; recently, 15 new candidates underwent training for the position of stevedore at Serviestiba. This training process equips operational staff with the necessary tools to enhance their daily work on the dock. Personnel received instruction in tasks such as lashing, unlashing, berthing, and unberthing, as well as in the preventive safety measures required before, during, and after the arrival or departure of containerized cargo—key components of their routine duties. Stevedores play a vital role in the maritime logistics chain, directly participating in maneuvers that ensure the safe and efficient handling of containerized cargo. Their primary responsibilities include vessel berthing and unberthing, as well as container lashing and unlashing, ensuring that every operation is carried out to the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Through initiatives like this, Serviestiba reaffirms its commitment to the continuous training of its workforce, strengthening employees' technical skills and promoting a culture of safety, professionalism, and operational excellence.
