Serviestiba personnel underwent training as Air Conditioning and Heavy Equipment Technicians for the ports of Balboa and Cristóbal; additionally, dock and vessel checkers, as well as a group of stevedores specializing in connection and disconnection tasks, were trained for the port of Balboa.
The training for the new technicians represents a novel experience, updating staff knowledge regarding the air conditioning systems of the company's transport fleet and all aspects of heavy equipment maintenance.
This type of training offers career growth opportunities for Workshop Department employees, who are trained to handle and address any needs related to the fleet of tractor-trailers and heavy equipment used by the company to move cargo in and out of the port.
Meanwhile, training for stevedores and checkers addresses the challenge of complementing worker tasks to meet specific operational requirements; this process fosters Serviestiba’s development by providing a skilled, up-to-date workforce whose expertise drives the industry forward.
