To boost health and prevent seasonal illnesses, the Workers' Clinic conducted a vaccination drive for the operational and administrative staff at the Serviestiba ports of Balboa and Cristóbal.
During the event, employees received vaccines against influenza, hepatitis, tetanus, and pneumococcus as part of preventive measures aimed at safeguarding their well-being and reducing the risk of communicable diseases in the workplace.
Dr. Katherine Willis, Medical Chief of the Workers' Clinic, highlighted the importance of these drives in curbing the spread of respiratory illnesses and other conditions that could affect personnel working at the port facilities.
This initiative is part of the vaccination campaigns carried out in 2026 within the framework of the 24th Vaccination Week in the Americas—promoted by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO)—which aims to strengthen immunization schedules and contribute to the prevention and control of outbreaks in the region.
